DOSBox es un emulador «open source» que nos permite ejecutar nuestras antiguas aplicaciones y juegos para Ms DOS.

Para instalarlo:
sudo apt-get install dosbox
Una vez instalado, para obtener la configuracion ejecutalo con:
dosbox &
e introduce:
config -writeconf dosbox.conf
se generara en tu directorio un fichero «dosbox.conf» similar a este:

Este fichero es interesante, porque aqui podemos cambiar parametros de configuracion.
Nos interesa el ultimo apartado [autoexec] donde podemos escribir
lineas que se ejecutaran automaticamente al arrancar.
crea ahora una carpeta dosbox en tu directorio HOME descomprime en ella algun juego (por ejemplo principe de persia).
conectate tambien a:
http://www.drivesnapshot.de/freedos/mkeyb.htm
para descargarte un driver DOS que te permite tener el teclado en español.
copia este fichero (KEYB.EXE) a la carpeta dosbox.
Ahora editamos el fichero dosbox.conf y en el [autoexec]
ponemos:

que explico aqui:
montamos la carpeta para acceder a ella desde dosbox
mount c /home/jose/dosbox
( a partir de ahora c: apunta a /home/jose/dosbox, cambia esto para que apunte a tu directorio HOME o donde hayas instalado el juego )
nos movemos a ella
c:
y ejecutamos KEY.EXE para cargar el teclado en español
KEYB.EXE
Si quisieramos ejecutar dosbox con este fichero, desde consola:
dosbox -conf dosbox.cnf
una vez arrancado DosBox si quisieramos ejecutar el juego hariamos:
cd prince
prince.exe
Bueno, a desempolvar esos viejos juegos y aplicaciones de MsDos (dune, warcraft y tantos otros que tantos buenos momentos nos dieron).
